SUPER RACE 82 mm Wedge-Mated crankshaft and lightened flywheel. It comes with eight 8mm dowel pins. Chevy journals.
This pack is composed with a Super Race Crankshaft (forged from a piece of Cromoly 4340) and a lightened Cromoli flywheel. It is then machined into a mating cone shape offering maximum contact area and a high friction taper fit. This ensures superior strength and stability for greater durability and reliability.
Super Race crankshafts are machined from a 4340 Chromoly forging.
Chromoly steel is one of the strongest metals that can be used in the manufacture of crankshafts. Progressive dies are used in the forging process to ensure good stretching of the material to follow the shape of the finished crankshaft.
The special design of the counterweights helps reduce oil splashing at high speeds. Integrated counterweights squash harmonics at high speed and dampen engine vibrations.
